Mama Knows Best

I am a new mum, well kind of. My partners wonderful daughter who is 10 lives with us and she gave me my first taste of motherhood. She taught me what it means to truly put yourself second (without resentment) to let another person grow, because watching them succeed and thrive is all you ever needed anyway! I always knew i wanted a family and being a part of this one fills me with joy. The three of us (and Buddy our dog) welcomed a beautiful baby boy into our lives in February 2023 and i suddenly found more love to give and more moments to cherish. He is my first born and my biggest learning curve to date. I don't claim to know it all, in fact i am learning as i go, no two days are the same and all have their challenges. But with almost every new challenge and new baby milestone i find myself turning to literature, then pushing that aside and letting instinct take over. Mama really does know best.
